A European design kitchen highlights a newly built Columbia-Tusculum home
Working closely with the owners, fitness enthusiasts with a deep appreciation for functionality and performance, NOLI created a kitchen offering the best in modern Italian design. A monolithic kitchen island is the centerpiece of the space. The matte lacquer cabinets are crafted in earth tones, giving the room a warm, natural feel. The neutral colors and sleek lines of the cabinetry allow the eye to travel easily to the room’s floor-to-ceiling windows, with their sweeping views over Lunken Airport.
The high box uppers design create that unique contrast of positive-negative volume with the monolithic island. Designed for versatility and ‘wow factor’ it floats at 360º in the space and is a natural gathering point for guests. This distinctive piece features a double sink and a sliding countertop that adds seating and extra workspace on demand. The statuary granite worktops and matching tall backsplash were custom-fabricated in Italy and crane delivered to the top-floor terrace.
