Design + Construction Week Reveals Kitchen and Bath Trends to Watch in 2022
Drawing more than 70,000 attendees, the 2022 Design & Construction Week (DCW) brought together the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show® (KBIS). As a vendor at the event, NOLI took note of the newest and most exciting trends for the coming year. Here are 3 kitchen and bath trends to watch!
1. An Emphasis on wellness
This year featured an extraordinary number of interior design vendors, brands, and products with a focus on the wellness category. While exploring touch-free appliances and faucets, easy-to-clean surfaces and even anti-microbial wall paint, attendees were eager to learn more about clean, healthy, and accessible interiors —particularly for the kitchen and bath. Having recently expanded our offerings to include Edone’s spa-like bathroom products that create a visually still, serene, and revitalizing space, we were pleased to confirm that our European cabinets for modern Italian bathroom design continue to meet the needs of the health-conscious consumer.
2. A desire for sustainability
As homeowners trend toward design solutions meant to last for decades, fabricators and brands also demonstrated their commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices. Attendees showed a sincere interest in understanding the history and reputation of fabricators, especially those who boast a long history of extraordinary design and solid business practices. We couldn’t agree more and have always curated brands based on their sustainable practices. Interested in learning about the carefully-chosen fabricators we have as our partners? Contact NOLI today.
3. Kitchens and baths go high-tech and high-touch
High-tech fixtures and appliances dazzled attendees throughout the week. But one of the most exciting trends we noted was how such technology was seamlessly integrated into natural surfaces, or hidden away by panels. This design approach creates an elegant, retreat-like modern bathroom and a clean, serene, and welcoming kitchen. Blending together the newest technological innovations with a timeless design is the recipe for a successful project or remodel. At NOLI, you can see for yourself what’s possible.
